Cindy Barrois
Special Agent (SA) SA Cindy Barrois has been with the Federal Bureau of Investigation since 2014. She attended New York University for her undergraduate studies, where she graduated
with a BA in Political Science and Sociology. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, SA Barrois enlisted in the United States Army Reserve. SA Barrois subsequently graduated with a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
While in law school, SA Barrois deployed to Iraq for one year. After law school, SA Barrois was commissioned as a judge advocate in the United States Army Reserve and worked as a civilian attorney with the Department of the Army. SA Barrois is currently serving in the Army Reserve in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel as a Career Manager. SA Barrois has served as a Special Agent in the Miami Field Office since January 2015. SA Barrois was first assigned to the South Florida and Criminal Organization Task Force for Miami-Dade County where she successfully investigated Violent Gang Criminal Enterprises (VGCE).
In 2017, SA Barrois was transferred to the Homestead Resident Agency, where in addition to working reactive cases, she specialized in complex human trafficking and VGCE investigations. In January 2023, SA Barrois transferred to the Violent Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking Squad. There, she proactively investigates all threats of abuse and exploitation of minors, to include child and sex trafficking, enticement of minors, production and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material, online sexual exploitation and abuse and child abductions
