Gloria Martinez
Gloria Martinez is a Hispanic female who grew up in Miami Dade County. She graduated from FIU with a Bachelors in Social Work and went on to obtain her Masters at the
University of New England specializing in program development and community organizations. She is currently obtaining her doctorate in social work at
University of Southern California. Gloria has worked in social services for 16 years and as a Human Trafficking Survivor she has a passion for helping women and teens in South Florida.
Gloria has been recognized by the Department of Juvenile Justice for her work as a Dependency Case Manager of at risk teens. Her Op-ed on a Daughter’s Worth to a Trafficker
has been published in Miami Community Newspaper. She’s been recognized by Cox Media Group as one of the top 20 women for Women’s History Month. Additionally she has been
featured in VoyageMIA magazine as a Hidden Gem. Gloria started her nonprofit The Family Tree Of Life Center Inc in 2020 which houses Tree of Life Parenting Center and Taking
Back the Girls Center. Her efforts in the community have been showcased on NBC, Telemundo, Miami Herald, el Nuevo Herald, Univision, CBS, and Cox Media Group radio.
